Hello friends!! The December My Monthly Hero Kit is now here!! This month we invite you to go on a celestial fantasy adventure with us! Our December release is full of stars, galaxies, moons and clouds. The playful December My Monthly Hero kit, with its adorable space cadets, is perfect for birthdays, encouragement, or simply sending a friendly hello. The kit includes a jam-packed 6 x 8 stamp set with coordinating dies. There’s also the perfect cling stamp for your interstellar backgrounds, a gorgeous Rose Gold pigment mini ink pad, and four half sheets of our ever-popular Pitch Black cardstock!

Kit Contents:

  • 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
  • 15 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • 4.625″ x 5.875″ Cling Stamp
  • 4 Sheets of Pitch Black Cardstock, 5.5″ x 8.5″
  • Rose Gold Pigment Mini Ink Pad

My first card focuses on the kit especially that gorgeous background cling stamp.

To create this card I first stamped the background onto a large panel of white cardstock with the cling stamp in several ink colors. I first inked up the center of the stamp in Pool Party. I then used a blending brush to soften the edges and then stamped. I repeated this process several times till the center was solid and crisp. Next I inked up the sides of the stamp in Blue Hawaii. Again I used a blending brush to soften the edges and then stamped till the blue was opaque. I then repeated this process with Purple Galaxy and then INTENS-ified Black Ink to complete the background.

Next, I trimmed the panel down to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then stamped an image from the clear stamp set in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock. I then copic colored the image and then die cut it out with the matching die.

Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the stamp set onto Pitch Black cardstock. I then fussy cut the sentiment out and lastly, I finished the card by adhering the sentiment and image to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the pretty Color Layering Stellar Flowers Bundle, one of the many gorgeous add-on products from this release.

To create this card I first stamped the outlines for the floral images in Embossing & Watermark Ink. I then heat-embossed them in Detail Black Embossing Powder. Next, I stamped over the embossed images with their corresponding solid image stamp in Pool Party, Taffy, Grape Slush and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks. To create the soft tones I applied the inks to the stamps with blending brushes. I then cleaned the stamps and then inked them up and stamped them once more but this time in Unicorn Pigment Ink to soften the colors even more. I then cleaned off any residual ink on the heat embossed areas with a dry towel and then die cut the images out with the matching dies.

Next, I created the background with the Nebula Cluster Stencil with tinted Hero Paste. I used Party, Taffy, Grape Slush and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks to tint the paste and then applied the paste through the stencil onto an A2 panel of Pitch Black cardstock. When the panel had dried I then adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I trimmed down some vellum to create a 3″ x 4 1/4″ panel. I then adhered the floral images to the panel with foam adhesive and then adhered the panel to the card front. Lastly, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment, fussy cut it and then adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive.
