Waffle Flower Crafts April Release and Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Welcome to Waffle Flower’s April 2021 Release day! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! This month, the Waffle Flower release is full of stamps, dies, and stencils that celebrate the hope and joy of Spring!

This month, there’s a full release that includes the Birthday Kitties set (stampdiestencil) and Birthday Puppies set (stampdiestencil) by Liz Mytinger; Pawsome Birthday Sentiments set (stamp); Jumbo Flower Pot set (stampdie) and Simple Stems set (stampdie) by Karla Jodoin; Teacher set (stampdie) and Oversized Smile set (stampword die) by JJ Bolton; Pennant Alpha Stamp set (stampdie), Pennant Banners (stencil), Pennant Alpha Duo-tone set (stencil); Confetti (diestencil); Brick Wall (stencil), Spotlight Diamond (stencil), Spotlight Hexagon (stencil), and Spotlight Triangle (stencil); and Stitched Diamond Panel (die), Triple Line Diamond Panel (die), and Stitched Flower Panel (die).

I have several cards to share so let’s dive right on in!

First is a card I created with the versatile Oversized Smile Combo.

To create this card I stamped “smile” several times in a rainbow of inks onto the front of an A2 top-folding pink card base. I then die cut “smile” twice out of black cardstock, adhered the layers together and then heat embossed it glittery embossing powder.

Next, adhered the die cut “smile” to the card front and then stamp the rest of my sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black Ink. Lastly, I finished the card by stamping several stars in Versafine Onyx Black and then heat embossing them in glittery embossing powder as well.

My next card once again features the Oversized Smile Combo but also the Stitched Diamond Panel and Triple Line Diamond Panel Dies as well.

For this card I first ink blended two A2 panels with several Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Mermaid Lagoon, Pine Needles, Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Barn Door). Once I finished ink blending the panels I then added water spots and then die cut them with the Stitched Diamond Panel and the Triple Line Diamond Panel dies. I then adhered the panels together and then adhered them to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I die cut 3 smile’s out of white cardstock and a shadow layer out of vellum with the Oversized Smile Word Die. I then adhered two cardstock smile’s together, then the vellum layer on top, and then lastly the last cardstock smile on top of that. I then adhered the stacked sentiment to my card front. Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sub-sentiment, trimmed it down to a strip and adhered it to the card front as well. Finally I finished the card with iridescent bubbles.

My next card also features the two diamond panel dies but this time I combined them with the sweet Teacher Combo Set.

To create this card I first die cut two red panels, one light and one dark with the Stitched Diamond Panel and Triple Line Diamond Panel dies. I then trimmed down a sheet of coral cardstock to fit behind the panels, then adhered all three panels together and then onto the card front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed my sentiment onto black cardstock with the Teacher Stamp Set. I then die cut “teacher” out with the matching die and trimmed my sub-sentiment down with a paper trimmer. I then adhered adhered both to my card front. Next, I stamped several pencils in Memento Tuxedo Black, copic colored them and then fussy cut them out. Lastly, I finished the card by adhering the pencils to the card front.

And my last card for today features the beautiful Simple Stems Combo!

For this card I first several flowers and leaves onto colored cardstock in Distress Ink similar in color to the cardstock. I then die cut the images out with the matching dies. Next, diamond frame using the Nesting Diamond Die set out of white cardstock. I then pressed the frame into Versamark Ink and then heat-embossed in gold embossing powder.

I then arranged the flowers, leaves, and frame together and adhered them to front of an A2 top-folding pink card base. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Go Girl Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a strip and adhered to the card front. Lastly, I added several clear enamel dots to finish the card.

  2. Wow, Channin!! You outdid yourself!! I like them all! I especially love the red plaid one with the message about how you helped me grow. Seems appropriate — you help me grow in my papercrafting skills! Love your cards and your work in general!
