I have several cards to share with you today as well as a video so let’s dive right on in!

First up is this card featuring the Be a Cat Die. This adorable die set is based on the sweet cat from Be Her Stamp Set illustrated by Big Bear and Bird.

Easy Masks and Ink Blending Diecuts

Watch below or on my YouTube channel.

To create this card I first die cut the cat from white cardstock. I then ink blended with distress oxides and ink to add color. To selectively ink blend specific portions of the image, I made a contact paper mask using the die.

Once I finished ink blending I then stamped the background with the Simply Plaids Stamp Set. Next, I stamped and then white heat embossed a sentiment from the Jars Sentiments Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a strip and then created a present by trimming some white cardstock to 3/4″ x 3/4″ square and diecutting bow with the Spring Basket Die. I then masked off the sides of the present and then ink blended a ribbon and the bow pink.

Next I die cut the whiskers and adhered them onto to the cat. I then adhered the plaid panel onto an A2 top-folding card base and then added the cat with foam tape. Next I adhered the sentiment and added the present into the cats arms with foam tape. Lastly, I finished my card by adding Nuvo Crystal drops to the eyes.

My next card features the beautiful Jars of Happiness Combo Set and Jars Sentiment Stamp Set which were illustrated by the talented Cassie Loizeaux.

Next, I created my slimline card base by trimming a sheet of cardstock down to 8.5″ x 7″ and then score at 3.5″. When my base was finished I then masked off the upper two thirds and then ink blended with Antique Linen Distress Oxide. I then masked off the lower portion and then ink blended with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide. Next, I stamped the woodgrain pattern on the lower third with Layering Woodgrain Stamp Set in Tea Dye Distress Oxide. I then stamped a sentiment from the Jars Sentiments Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. Lastly, I finished my card by adhering all the jars with foam tape.

My last card features the beautiful Potted Lily Combo.

For this card I did some no-line watercoloring with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. First I stamped an image from the Potted Lily Stamp Set in Antique Linen Distress Ink onto Bristol paper. I then watercolored the image in with several Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

  • Leaves: 346 + 126
  • Flowers: Petals 817; Center 977 + 817
  • Pot: 291

Once I finished colored the image in I then die cut it out with the Potted Lily Matching Dies. Next, I created my background with the Simply Plaids Stamp Set in Fossilized Amber onto an A2 panel of white cardstock. After I finished stamping the plaid I then stamped a sentiment in Memento Tuxedo Black. Next, I adhered the panel onto an A2 top-fold card base. I then finished the card by adhering the image with foam tape.

I hope enjoyed my cards and video!! Thank you so much for stopping by and I hope you have a wonderful day!

  1. Your cards are all so cute. Every one of them is really cute. I’m really enjoying the simple flowers and birds. But the cat is wonderful, too. It looks like my favorite neighborhood cat, Scabby.

  2. The new products are amazing, loving them all and here I find so much inspiration!
