Hello friends!! Welcome to the Waffle Flower October Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies!
The card I’m sharing with you today features the adorable Winter Fun Combo and the gorgeous Winter Lake Die.
To create this card I first die cut the scene out of an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Winter Lake Die. I then ink blended a second panel of white cardstock with Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans Distress Ink. I then die cut this panel also with the Winter Lake Die and then set aside all the sky pieces. Next I ink blended the pine trees from the first panel in Mowed Lawn and Pine Needles Distress Ink. I then ink blended the sides of the trees in Hickory Smoke. Then the snowy ground in with a little Tumbled Glass and then lastly the frozen lake with Tumbled Glass, Broken China and Faded Jeans.
Next, I adhered and inlaid all my ink blended pieces of the scene onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then stamped several images from the Winter Fun stamp set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto white cardstock. Next, I copic colored the images and then die cut them out with the matching dies. I then adhered the images to the card front with foam adhesive.
Next, I die cut my sentiment out of once out of coral cardstock and twice out of white cardstock with the Merry Christmas Word Die Set. I then die cut a shadow layer out of vellum. I then ink blended the coral sentiment with Bard Door Distress ink to create a gradation. Next, I adhered the red sentiment to one of the white sentiments, then adhered those stacked sentiments to the vellum shadow layer, then lastly adhered the final white sentiment behind the vellum. I then finished my card by adhering the stacked sentiment to the card front with liquid adhesive.
