Hello crafty friends!! Welcome to the Waffle Flower September Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! The card I’m sharing today features several new products from this release including the Swag Background and stencil, the Love Thanks Combo and the Layered Abstract Flower Die.
To create this card I first hot foil an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Sway Background Foil Plate in Opal foil. I then ink blended over the panel using one of the stencils from the Swag Coloring Stencil Set in Spun Sugar Distress Ink to color the background. Next I ink blended the swag with the second stencil in several Distress Inks (Kitsch Flamingo, Spiced Marmalade, Squeezed Lemonade, Cracked Pistachio, Tumbled Glass & Shaded Lilac) to create a rainbow. When I finished ink blending the panel I then adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.
Next, I die cut the layers for a few of the Layered Abstract Flowers out of white cardstock. I then adhered the layers together and then added Wink of Stella to add a subtle shimmer.
Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the Love Thanks Combo onto gray cardstock. I then die cut the sentiment out and the finished the card by adhering the sentiment and flowers to the card front with foam adhesive.
