Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Release Blog Hop

Hello friends!! It’s release day at Hero Arts!! The September My Monthly Hero Kit and all the wonderful new add-ons are all now available! I have a couple of cards to share but before we get to that let’s first take a closer look at the new kit.

Kit Contents:
  • Clear Stamp Set, 4” x 6”
  • 6 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • Rub-On Transfer Sheet
  • Cling Background Stamp, 6“ x 6”
  • 2 Sheets Each of Cardstock in Sand & Antique Ivory, 5.5” x 8.5”
  • Rose Gold Metallic Floss, 5 yds

Kit Value: $70; Kit Cost: $34.99

My first card features the kit with some copic coloring.

To create this card I first stamped the bouquet image onto Delux Smooth White Cardstock In Cup O’ Joe Core Ink. I then copic colored the image but colored the top portion of the vase to look like a pumpkin. When I finished coloring the bouquet

I then placed the image back into my MISTI and stamped it once more in Cup O’ Joe ink. Next, I die cut the bouquet out using the matching die and then fussy cut the lower portion of the vase off. I then colored over any left over lines of the vase with a white gel pen to hide them.

Next, ink blended the front of an A2 top-folding card base made from Palm cardstock with Forever Green and Pitch Black ink. I then a stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment onto Pitch Black cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a strip and then finished the card by adhering the bouquet and sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the Floral Flourish Stencil and the Foliage and Flowers Fancy Dies.

To create this card I first placed the Floral Flourish Stencil over the front of an A2 top-folding Sand card base. I then ink blended over the stencil with Unicorn Ink. Next, I repositioned the stencil over the panel and then ink blended with Dandelion, Papaya and Azalea inks.

Next, I die cut several leaves and flower out of white cardstock using the Foliage and Flowers Fancy Dies. I then adhered the die cuts to the card front with foam adhesive.

I then stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the Artichoke Arrangement stamp set onto sand cardstock. I then fussy cut the sentiment out and finished the card by adhering it to the card front.

  1. Oh wow!! What a brilliant idea to convert the vase to a pumpkin! Also, great use of the stencil — amazing depth.

  2. Hi, Channin – I’m very excited about this release. I love your “hello fall” card and the “amazing” card is also very pretty.
