Waffle Flower Crafts April Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Waffle Flower Crafts April Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello crafty friends!! Welcome to the Waffle Flower April Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies!

My first two cards feature the awesome Abstract Foil Plate and one of my favorites from this release, the Outlined Hello Die.

To create these cards I first hot foil two white panels (8″ x 5 1/2″) with the Abstract Foil Plate. I learned you could foil on top of foil, so I foiled multiple times over these panels. For one panel I just used Rainbow foil but for the other panel I used several different metal foils (Polished Brass, Silver, Aura, Pewter, and Copper). When I finished foiling the panels I then trimmed them down to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ with the A2 Layers Dies and then adhered then to two A2 top-folding white card bases.

Nexts I die cut four “hello’s” out of white cardstock and one vellum mat using the Outlined Hello Die. I then adhered three of the white “hello’s” together and then adhered the vellum layer on top and finished the stacked sentiment with the last white “hello” on top of the vellum. Next I repeated this process to create a second stacked “hello”.

I then stamped and heat-embossed a sub-sentiment from the Oversized Hello Stamp Set onto black cardstock. Next, I trimmed the sub-sentiments down to strips and then finished the cards by adhering the sentiments to the card fronts.

My last card features the beautiful Organic Floral Foil Plate and Organic Floral Coloring Stencil as well as the Outlined Hello Die again.😆

To create this card I first hot foiled a panel of white cardstock with the Organic Floral Foil Plate in Aura foil. I also hot foiled the remaining Aura foil using the Solid Foil Plate. Then with the Organic Floral Coloring Stencil, I ink blended the flowers and leaves over both panels with several Distress Oxide (Picked Raspberry, Candied Apple, Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Speckled Egg & Evergreen Bough).

When I finished ink blending I then trimmed the first panel down to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and adhered it onto an A2 top-folding white card base. I then die cut some of the image out of the second panel with the Organic Floral Matching dies.

I then created a stacked “hello” in the same manner I did for the last two cards with the Outlined Hello Die. I also created a sub-sentiment with the Oversized Hello Stamp Set but this time I heat-embossed over a scrap of the foiled Aura. I then trimmed the sub-sentiment down to a strip and finished the card by adhering the stacked “hello”, sub-sentiment, and diecuts to the card front.
