Newton’s Nook December Release and Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Today I’m so excited to be joining the celebration over at Newton’s Nooks with the Deck the Halls with Inky Paws blog hop celebrating their December release!!

I have a couple of cards to sharing featuring some of the new products from this release!

First up is a card featuring the Holiday Home Stamp Set.

To create this card I first stamped the image of the children and the sled in Memento Tuxedo Black onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. I then created a mask for the kids out of a post-it note and then stamped the trees and the house.

I then created a mask for the house and hand cut a mask to create the hill out of copy paper. With the masks in place I then ink blended the sky in Tumbled Glass and Broken China Distress Oxides and added a little of Tumbled Glass to the lower right corner.

Next, I copic colored all the images and then stamped a sentiment. I then heat set the card front to insure the ink was dry and then stamped and white heat embossed several snowflakes to complete the card.

My last card also features the Holiday Home Stamp Set and the Holiday Foliage Stencil.

To create this card I first ink blended over the Holiday Foliage Stencil onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base with several Distress Inks (Pine Needles, Spun Sugar, Candied Apple, Mowed Lawn, Cracked Pistachio, Tea Dye, and Vintage Photo).

I then added white gel pen accents. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Holiday Home Stamp Set onto black cardstock.

I then trimmed the sentiment down to a square and then finished the card by adhering it to the card front with foam adhesive.
