Hello friends!! Today I have a new video up over at Waffle Flower Crafts featuring the Rainbow Birthday Die!! I have so much fun with these rainbow word dies from Waffle Flower and a “happy birthday” one is a great addition to this series!! I hope Waffle Flower continues to make more and more!!
Video: Inlaid Rainbow Birthday Card
Watch below or on my YouTube channel.
First, I die cut the main die from the Rainbow Birthday Die set out of 110lb white cardstock. I then die cut a backing also out of white cardstock and a scrap from a sheet of double sided adhesive with another die from the set. I then removed the backing on the adhesive die cut and adhered it to it’s cardstock counterpart.
Next, I ink blended each of the five rings around the “Happy Birthday” in distress inks (Worn Lipstick, Carved Pumpkin, Squeezed Lemonade, Mowed Lawn & Mermaid Lagoon). As I finished ink blending each ring I then stuck it down onto the adhesive backing. Once I had finished inlaying all the rings and letters I then added foam tape to the backside of the sentiment.
Next, I ink blended a cloudy sky with a mask I created out of contact paper with the Scenery Die and Tumbled Glass Distress Ink onto the front of an A2 top-folding card base turned on its side. Once I finished the sky I then finished the card by adhering the sentiment.
And that’s it! Thank you so much for joining me today! Hope you have a wonderful day!
