Let’s dive right in a take a look at the incredibly sweet Flower Girl Combo Set illustrated by Cassie Loizeaux. I couldn’t resist going full sparkle with this set, so prepare yourself for lots of glitter and sequins! 🙂

Adding Sparkle with Embossing Powder

Watch below or on my YouTube channel.

First, I stamped the first layer for my images in Memento Tuxedo Black. Then I stamped the second layer (top and flowers) in Memento Cantaloupe, Angel Pink and Rocket Red Gold Brilliance Ink. I used the partial inking technique to create a soft gradation. Next, I copic colored my images. Once I had finished my copic coloring, I stamped my second layer again, including the wings, in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with MBoss Iridescent Embossing Powder to add sparkle. Next, I die cut my images out with the matching dies.

Next, I die cut an A2 panel with the Cloudscape Panel Die. I then tossed the ground and top sky section and then trimmed off the ground and sky divider from the frame. Next, I ink blended New Fish In Pond Dye Ink at the tops of the four remaining cloud sections. Then, I covered two sections with Versamark Ink and then heat embossed with more MBoss Iridescent Embossing Powder. Next, I glued one of the embossed cloud layers to one of the not embossed layers and then glued them to the frame. I then trimmed off any over hang with my scissors and stamped my sentiment. Next, I ink blending a background with Safe Choice, Tickled Pink, You Said What, and Oh Happy Day dye ink onto an A2 top-folding card base. I then die cut a craft foam frame using the Rainbow Panel Die and adhered it to my card front. I then filled my shaker with clear sequins. I then topped my shaker off with a A2 panel of acetate, then adhered my frame, and lastly my girl.

Next up is the new Bear Hugs Combo illustrated by Big Bear and Bird!

I decided to bust out my Prismacolor pencils for this sweet set. A video tutorial for this card will be available Saturday, September 21st at Waffle Flower Crafts as well as on my YouTube channel and blog.

First I stamped the image Antique Linen Distress ink onto white cardstock. I then colored all the critters in with Prismacolor colored pencils. Next, I die cut the group out with the matching die. I then die cut a circle frame from tan cardstock and white cardstock using two circle dies from the Nesting Circles Die Set and adhered the two together.

I then ink blending the front of an A2 top-folding card base with Crack Pistachio and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. Then darkened the sides of the card with a little Pine Needles Distress Ink and then added water splatters. Next, I used my image as a guild and curved a sentiment from the Bear Hugs Stamp Set on my MISTI and then stamped it onto the card front in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. I then finished card by adhering the circle frame with liquid glue and then the critters with foam tape.

Next up is the adorable Little Artists Combo Set illustrated by the amazing Liz Mytinger!!

I thought this would be a fun set to try a color changing card with!! There will be a video for this card coming Wednesday, September 18th.

First, I stamped, copic colored, and die cut my images out. Next, I stamped the framed mouse on a piece of acetate in Stazon Jet Black Ink.

I then constructed my slider channel on my colored frame mouse and then made a tag with a strip of white cardstock, using one of the new Nesting Circles Dies to round the top and then punching a hole at the top for a twine pull. I also stamped “pull” using the Open Here Stamp Set.

Next, I popped my tag into the channel and adhered the acetate framed mouse onto and then the colored frame onto of that. I finished my card by ink blending a little New Fish in Pond Dye Ink on the background, then stamped a sentiment from the Rainbows Stamp Set, and lastly adhered my slider and mouse.

Next, up is the beautiful Poppy Hawthorn Combo illustrated Karla Jodoin.

I typically watercolor my florals but this time I decided to try something a little different, that is for me anyways, and do some copic coloring and heat embossing. A video for this card will be available Saturday, September 14th.

I first stamped my florals in Coffee Loves Milk Dye Ink onto white cardstock. I then copic colored my image in. Next, I stamped the flowers again but this time with Versamark ink and then heat embossed with gold embossing powder. I then die cut the flowers out with the matching die. I then created my card base by adhering a 65lb tan A2 top-folding card base over an A2 110lb white card base trimmed 1/8″ from the bottom.

Next, I stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment and then splatter white Gansai Tambi watercolor. I then finished the card by adhering the flowers with foam tape. I did trim off one leaves so there wasn’t so much over hang from the flowers. I then and adhered that leaf to the lower left corner of the flower arrangement with foam tape.

And last but not least, is the Happy Retirement Combo designed by JJ Bolton and the new Nesting Circles, Squares, and Ovals Die Sets.

I experimented with contrast through inlay die-cutting and ink blended panels and create three vibrant cards. A video for this technique will be available Wednesday, September 11th.

First, I ink blended panels created with either the largest square, circle, or oval from the nesting sets with Distress Oxides. I then die cut the panels with every other die from the nesting sets. Next, I adhered the panels back together on another a black panel but this time I alternated the orientation of the diecuts to create contrast.

Next, I stamped and die cut “Happy Retirement”. I also stamped and white heat embossed a second part of my sentiment onto black cardstock and then trimmed it down to a strip.

I then stamped the inside sentiment onto an A2 panel of white cardstock. I then scored and folded a 5 1/2″ x 8 1/2″ sheet of acetate in half to create a card base.

I then glued the stamped A2 panel to the inside of the acetate card base and then glued a second blank A2 white panel to the back side of the the card base to hide the glue. I trimmed the inlaid die cut then glued it to the front of the card and on the inside adhered a matching shaped die cut to hide glue.

Lastly, I finished my cards by adhering my sentiments to the inlaid die cut panel on the front of my cards.

And that’s it!! I hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by!
