Pinkfresh Studio August Release

Pinkfresh Studio August Release

Hello all! Today I am so excited to be participating in Pinkfresh Studio’s August Release blog hop and giveaway!! I have a bunch of cards, as well as a video to share so let’s dive right in!!

IMG_3110

My first up is a group of cards features the Lovely Blossoms Stamp and die set as well as the beautiful No One Compares to You Stamp Set, which was hand-lettered by my mega talented friend, Caly!

Floral Frame with Lovely Blossoms

Watch below or on my YouTube channel.

I first stamped a sentiment from the No One Compares to You Stamp Set in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto white cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment down and then used a ruler and fine tip sharpie to add a boarder.

Next, I used the trimmed sentiment as a guide by tracing around onto scrap cardstock to create a slightly smaller rectangle, which I then cut out. This smaller rectangle will eventually hide behind the sentiment but also be base to adhere the florals to.

I then created a jig with all the dies from the Lovely Blossoms Die set from an A2 panel of white cardstock. I then saved the negative to become the jig and all the die cuts. Next, I die cut another set of florals will the Lovely Blossom Dies so I had two sets of all the leaves and flowers.

I then popped my jig into my MISTI and positioned the first layer of stamps. I then stamped all the die cuts with the first layer of stamps in a variety of inks.

  • Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide + Pine Needles Distress Ink
  • Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide + Lucky Clover Distress Ink

Green Card:

  • Crushed Olive Distress Oxide + Peeled Paint Distress Ink
  • Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide + Pine Needles Distress Ink
  • Cracked Pistachio Distress Oxide + Lucky Clover Distress Ink
  • Abandoned Coral Distress Oxide + Candied Apple Distress Ink

After I had stamped the first layer I then removed the stamps and positioned the second layer of stamps inside the jig. However I didn’t use the MISTI for all the images, for some of them it made more sense to stamp the second layer by hand.

Once I had all the images stamped, I used a tape runner to add adhesive to the edges of my smaller rectangle and then arranged my florals. When I had all my florals stuck down I added foam tape to the backside of the floral frame and the sentiment.

Next, I adhered a panel, slightly smaller than an A2 panel, of colored cardstock onto an A2 top-folding card base. I then removed the backing on the foam tape and adhered my frame and sentiment.

Next up is the stunning Flower Garden Stamp Set.

PFS201908-Flower Garden-Channin 1

For this card I first stamped the image in Versamark ink onto an A2 panel of Canson watercolor paper. I then heat embossed the impression in white embossing powder. Next, watercolor the image with Daniel Smith watercolors (Raw Sienna Light, Quinacridone Deep Gold, Quinacridone Red, Aussie Red Gold, Raw Sienna Light, Quinacridone Coral, Lavender, Wisteria, Imperial Purple, Serpentine Genuine, Prussian Green, & Sap Green Deep).

Once I had finish watercoloring the image, I trimmed it down about 1/8″ on all the sides. Next, I stamped a sentiment from the Flower Garden Set in Versamark on to vellum and then gold heat embossed it. Once it was heat set, I trimmed it down to a strip, folded the edge and adhered the edge to the backside of the watercolor panel. I finished the card by adhering the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base made from 110lb cream cardstock.

Next up is the beautiful Floral Vase Stamp Set and matching die.

PFS201908-Floral Vase-Channin 1

I first stamped the flowers in Antique Linen distress ink onto Bristol paper. I then watercolored the flowers in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens (312, 126, 345, 991, 553, 243, 856, 685, 946). Once I had finished coloring the flowers, I die cut them with the matching die and trimmed off the portion for the stems. I then created the vase by stamping the first layer in Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide, the second layer in Broken Glass Distress Ink, and the 3rd layer in Salty Ocean Distress Ink.

I then stamped the stems inside the vase with Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide and Lucky Clover Distress Oxide. I then die cut the vase out and then adhered the flowers on top with foam tape. Next, I stamped part of my sentiment onto my vase using my MISTI in Versafine Onyx Black. I then popped my card base into my MISTI and stamped it again onto the card front. I then stamped the second part of my sentiment onto white cardstock and then die cut it out with the matching die. I finished the card by adhering the flowers and “sending” to the card front with foam tape.

Next up is the sweet Falling For You Stamp Set and matching die.

PFS201908-Falling For You-Channin 1

First, I die cut the mountains from an A2 panel of white cardstock. I then stamped and white heat embossed the mountains onto the die cut. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed the waterfall, trees, clouds and sun onto white cardstock. I then ink blended Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide and Pine Needles Distress Ink over the trees and the lower portion of the mountain panel. For the upper portion of the mountain panel, I ink blended Tea Dye Distress Oxide and Walnut Stain Distress Oxide. For the waterfall and background, I ink blended Salty Ocean Distress Oxide and Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink. And lastly, I used Mustard Seed and Spiced Marmalade Distress Oxide for the Sun and Tumbled Glass Distess Oxide for the clouds.

PFS201908-Falling For You-Channin 2

Once I had finished all my ink blending I die cut the images out with the matching dies except for the waterfall which I cut by hand. I then diecut a stitched border to the background panel and the mountain panel and then adhered the background panel onto and A2 top-folding card base. Next, I added foam tape to the mountain panel and adhered it to the card front as well. I then glued the rest of the die cuts and waterfall. I then stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black onto dark gray cardstock, trimmed it, and added it the card front with foam tape.

Next up is Delicate Wreath Stamp Set and the Beautiful word die.

IMG_3104

I decided to do some more no-line watercoloring with my Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I first, stamped the image in Antique Linen Distress Ink onto a panel of Bristol paper slightly smaller than A2 panel. I then watercolored the image in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens (126, 158, 346).

IMG_3105

Once I finished coloring in the wreath, I then die cut the Beautiful word die 4 times from black cardstock and glued the diecuts together. Next, I stamped “Hello” onto the Bristol panel in Versafine Onyx Black. I then finished the card by adhering the panel onto an A2 top-folding card base, then adhering “beautiful”, and lastly clear sequins with Nuvo Crystal Drops, Morning Dew.

My next card features the Kelly Alpha Dies.

IMG_3107

I ink blended Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Peacock Feathers, and Fade Jeans Distress Oxides onto an A2 panel of white cardstock. I then added water spots and then gold splatters with Gansai Tambi watercolor. Next, I finished the panel by diecuting it with an die from an A2 nesting die set.

IMG_3106

I then moved onto my sentiment and die cut “LOVE”  using the Kelly Alpha Upper Case dies from white and gold cardstock. I then glued the letters together but slightly off-set to create a dimensional look. Next I stamped and gold heat embossed “sending” from the Floral Vase Set on white cardstock, and then cut it out with the matching die. I finished the card by gluing the outer portion of the backgrounds onto an A2 top-folding card base

And last is the a card featuring the Modern Blooms Die.

IMG_3103

For this card, I first die cut a panel slightly smaller than A2 with the Modern Blooms Die. However, I made sure the die did not completely cut through the cardstock by removing a paper shim from my Cuttlebug. I then copic colored the flowers and leaves in (R20, R22, R05, BG10, BG34, V04, V06, YG03, YG63). Next, I die cut the Modern Blooms Die two more times out of white cardstock and glued the two layers together. I then adhered the dimensional modern blooms panel onto of the copic colored one and then adhered the panel onto an A2 top-folding cardbase.

Next, I diecut “hi” with the Kelly Alpha Lower Case dies out of white cardstock and white craft foam. I then copic colored the cardstock letters and then adhered them to the craft foam. Next, I cut a vellum square and adhered it and the letters onto the card front. Lastly, I finished the card with a sentiment from the Delicate Wreath Stamp Set stamped in Wilted Violet Distress Oxide.

Phew!!! 🙂 And that’s it!! Thank you so much for stopping by!!
