Hello friends!! Join me and Waffle Flower in our Video Hop featuring the awesome Water Media Mat!
I have another fun and easy technique using water media mat to share with you all today! Today I play ink and the mat’s ability to keep inks in place to create the look of watercolor!
Water Media Mat: Faux Watercolor Stamping
First, I created a little reservoir of ink using Tombow Dual Brush Pens. I then spritzed the reservoir with water.
Next, I took a magnolia from the Magnolia Stamp Set and inked it up with the slightly watered down ink in the reservoir.
I then stamped it onto an A2 panel of 110lb white cardstock. I then repeated this process till the panel was completely covered with flowers.
For the second background I used three distress inks. Again I created a little reservoir of ink but this time with the distress ink minis. I then spritzed it with water and then inked up the stamp with the ink and stamped onto the panel.
I finished the cards by adhered the panels onto 2 A2 top-folding card bases and then adhering a sentiment created with the Label Greetings Combo with foam tape.
And thats it! I hope you enjoyed my cards and video! Please be sure to check out the rest of the hop and commenting over on YouTube for your chance to win a $25 gift certificate!!
