Hello crafty friends!!Welcome to the Waffle Flower August Release Blog Hop! I’m happy to be hopping with the folks from Waffle Flower to show you all the fun new stuff awaiting you on the Waffle Flower website! Be sure to check out each stop in today’s blog hop for fun, inspiration, and chances to win some of these new release goodies!

I have a whole bunch of cards to share today so let’s dive right on in! My first group of cards features the Oversized Fruit Stencil and Die.

To create these cards I first ink-blended the large fruits with the Oversized Fruit Stencils in several Distress Oxides onto the front of three A2 top-folding white card bases.

Orange: Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Crackling Campfire Kiwi: Squeezed Lemonade, Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn, Brushed Corduroy, Black Soot
Strawberry: Worn Lipstick, Abandoned Coral, Candied Apple, Black Soot

To create the orange I used the stencils 1 and 2 in pretty straight forward manner but for the strawberry I used stencil 2 to create the bottom of the strawberry and a second stencils as a mask for the side. For the kiwi, I used the stencil 2 to make the skin but had to reposition the stencil a couple of times to make the skin longer. I also ink blended more seeds on the kiwi with the stencil 3.

When I finished the ink-blending I then die cut a strawberry top and seeds for the orange using the Oversized Fruit Dies. I then ink-blended the top, colored the seeds and then adhered them to the card fronts.

Next, I stamped several sentiments from the Fruit Sentiments Stamp Set in black onto white cardstock. I then die cut the sentiments out with the matching dies and then adhered them to the card front with foam adhesive. Next, I stamped sub-sentiments with the Fruity Pun Stamp Set (I had to cut the kiwi sentiment to make it more linear) onto black cardstock in Versamark Ink and then heat embossed them in white. Next I trimmed the sentiments down to strips and then adhered them to the card fronts.

My next card features the Fruity Background Foil Plate, Fruity Background Coloring Stencils, Fruity Icons Die and the Oversized Sweet Combo.

To create this card I first hot foil a panel of white cardstock with Polished Brass foil with the Fruity Background Foil Plate. I then ink blended over the panel with the Fruity Background Coloring Stencils and several Distress Inks (Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Twisted Citron, Cracked Pistachio, Candied Apple, Fired Brick, Squeezed Lemonade, Mustard Seed, Rusty Hinge, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Mowed Lawn, Vintage Photo).

I then die cut the panel smaller with the die from the A2 Layers Die Set and then adhered onto an A2 top-folding white card base. Next, I die cut some fruit out over gold and white cardstock with the Fruity Icon Dies. I then ink-blended the white fruit negatives and then inlaid them into the gold fruit frames.

Next, I created my sentiment by die-cutting “sweet” out of gold cardstock with the Oversized Sweet Die. I then die cut the shadow layer out of white cardstock and then adhered the two together. Next, I stamped and gold heat embossed a sub-sentiment from the Oversized Sweet Stamp Set. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a strip and then adhered the diecut fruit and sentiments to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the sweet Fruity Cake Combo and the Puffy Squares Stencil.

To create this card I first stamped a bunch of images from the Fruity Cake Stamp Set in Gathered Twigs ink onto white cardstock. I then copic colored the images and then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I ink-blended an A2 panel of yellow cardstock with the Puffy Squares Stencil and Mustard Seed Distress Ink. I then adhered the panel onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Next, I die cut a circle out of vellum with the Nesting Picking Circle Dies and then adhered the vellum and the images to the card front.

I then created a sentiment using the Oversized Sweet Combo and finished the card by adhering it the card front.

My next card features the adorable Jungle Party Combo and the Duo-tone Tropical Leaves Stencils and Pop-Up Tropical Leaves Texture Die.

To create this card I first ink-blended an A2 panel of white cardstock with several Distress Inks (Mowed Lawn, Peeled Paint, Lucky Clover, Cracked Pistachio). I then die cut the panel with the Pop-Up Tropical Leaves Texture Die and then ink blended the panel with the Duo-tone Tropical Leaves Stencils with the same Distress Inks just more heavy-handed then before. I then splatter the panel with water to create spots and then adhered the panel to the card front.

Next, I stamped several images from the Jungle Party Stamp Set in Memento Black onto white cardstock. I then copic colored the images and then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the Tropical Sentiments Stamp Set. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a stripe and then adhered the sentiment and images to the card front with foam adhesive.

My last card features the Hibiscus Die, Doodle Print Stencil and the Aloha Mahalo Die.

To create this card I first created the background by first ink swiping an A2 panel of Kraft cardstock with Vintage Photo Ink. I then ink-blended over the panel with the Doodle Print Stencil and Ground Espresso Ink. Next, I die cut the panel with the Oversized Fruity Dies and then adhered the panel onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

I then die cut the flower and leaves with the Hibiscus Dies out of white cardstock. I then ink blended the diecuts with Distress Ink and then adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive.

Next, I die cut “aloha” with the Aloha Mahalo Die out of white cardstock. I then ink-blended the die cut with Distress Ink, die cut a shadow layer out of vellum and then adhered them together. Next I stamped and heat-embossed a sub-sentiment from the Tropical Sentiments Stamp Set onto the card front. I then finished the card by adhering the “aloha” to the card front.
