Hero Arts Spring Catalog Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Today we are celebrating the spring 2022 catalog release over at Hero Arts!! There are so many wonderful products to choose from and even new TOOLS!! 🤩 I’m sure that flipping through the new catalog and/or hopping along today’s blog hop you will see much to inspire and excite you!

I have several cards to share featuring many of the new products releasing today with the catalog launch so let’s dive right on in!!

My first card features the a new addition to the popular Looking Glass series of dies, the Looking Glass Lily Pond die set.

To create this card first die cut my layers for the lily pond scene out of three 2 3/8″ squares of white cardstock using the Looking Glass Lily Pond dies. I then copic colored the lily pad, flowers and dragonfly. I then ink blended a fourth 2 3/8″ square of white cardstock with Pool Party and Blue Hawaii Reactive Inks to create the water.

Next, I die cut a frame out of gold cardstock using the Looking Glass Fine Art Frame die. I then adhered all the layers together to create the scene and then finished with the frame. Lastly I stamped a sentiment from the Let’s Celebrate stamp set in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base and then adhered the scene.

My next card features the beautiful Flowers in Vase stamp set, frame cuts and Color Layering Flowers in Vase Stencils.

To create this card I first die cut the floral bouquet out of Dove White cardstock. I then ink blended over the diecut with the Color Layering Flowers in Vase Stencils and several inks (Taffy, Creamsicle, Fruit Punch, Thistle, Pool Party, Key Lime Fizz, Moss, Lemon Drop). To create the two tone look on the flowers I ink blended the base layer lightly and then blended the detail layer more heavily with the same ink, the only exceptions were the leaves in which I used Key Lime Fizz as a base and Moss Bold Ink for the detail layer and the yellow flower in which I also used Creamsicle for the detail layer.

Once I had finished ink blending the bouquet I then die cut an A2 panel of white cardstock with the Floral Border Fancy Die. I then adhered the panel to the from of A2 top-folding white card base. Next, I adhered the flowers with foam adhesive and then finished the card with a white heat-embossed sentiment stamped on Pebble cardstock and fussy cut out.

My last card features the bold and fun Color Layering Happy Birthday stamp set and Daisy Mosaic Stencil.

To create this card I first stamped the detail layer for the sentiment in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto a 4″ x 5 1/4″ panel of Dove White cardstock. I then stamped the base layer in Embossing & Watermark Ink and the heat-embossed the sentiment in clear embossing powder. Next, I ink blended over the panel with several Reactive Inks (Taffy, Creamsicle, Lemon Drop) and the Daisy Mosaic Stencil.

Once I finished ink blending the background I then finished the card by stamping a sub-sentiment in INTENS-ified Black Ink. I used my MISTI to help me curve the sentiment to match the curve of the “Happy Birthday” and then glued the panel down onto an A2 top-folding white card base.
