Tonic Studios Sunshine and Sunflowers Blog Hop

Hello friends!! I’m so excited to be joining a super fun blog hop today celebrating the a new stamp club kit from Tonic Studios!! The theme this month is sunshine and sunflowers and how could you not just love that!! Plus this kit was designed by the insanely talented Maria Willis!

This is such a gorgeous set and I had so much fun creating my card!

To create this card I first die cut the flowers and leaves out of white cardstock. I then ink blended the layers for the flowers and leaves in several Distress Oxides (Mustard Seed, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Ripe Persimmon, Vintage Photo, Ground Espresso, Peeled Paint, & Lucky Clover).

After I had ink blended my die cuts I then assembled and adhered the layers together and then set them aside. Next, I cut eight 1/8″ stripes of colored cardstock and adhered them to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

I then stamped a sentiment from the stamp set in black and then adhered my flowers and leaves with foam adhesive. Lastly, I finished the card by adhering some iridescent sequins.

  1. Love your card–all of the details are terrific! Congrats to Tonic Studios for their lovely release!

  2. I like that you colored your papers, it keeps the flowers from looking flat. I also love the rainbow 🌈 on the side. What a color lift it brings to your card!

  3. I like the shading you did. The leaves look so much more interesting when shaded. Thanks for the reminder. And the strip of colors is very cute.
