CAS-ual Fridays Challenge #153

Hello everyone!! I’ve got two creations to share with you today and I’m pretty excited about them. Our new CAS-ual Fridays Challenge is all about gift tags and I thought it would be fun to make a gift tag and card setCFC153

Kinda of fun huh?! 🙂 I made the cupcake by doing a partial die cut using the largest posie from the Posie Fri-Die set to create the frosted top. I just free hand the bottom portion of the cupcake and then fussy cut it out. I then masked off the frosting and ink blended some pink ink in a horizontal gradation to create a curved look. I then stamped the smaller background stamp from Tin Roof in the same pink to create the cupcake liner. I then masked off the bottom portion of the cupcake and ink blended some light purple ink in a horizontal gradation. I then used my copics to add additional color and shading to the frosting.

Next, I created the candle. I just cut a strip of white cardstock and blended purple ink over it. I created the flame by stamping the largest flower from the Wallflower set in yellow and orange ink on yellow cardstock. I then fussy cut out each individual petal and used a single petal for the flames. Then using an x-acto knife, I made a small horizontal cut at the top of the frosting, slide the candle in, and used tape to hold it in place.

Now that I had the cupcakes completed, I created the backgrounds. For the backgrounds I stamped the flowers from the Pretty Posie set repeatedly in pink and purple inks using the rock and roll technique. On the card, I stamped “make a wish” from Shenanigans in yellow and orange ink in the rock and roll technique. I then mounted the cupcakes on craft foam and then added them to the tag and card. Then I added clear iridescent sequins and iridescent stickles on the both the tag and the card. I hope you enjoyed!
