Hello friends!! It’s release day!! The new July My Monthly Hero Kit and all the July add-on products are now available over at Hero Arts.

We’re serving up tropical summer vibes with our July My Monthly Hero release! This month’s kit features a flock of flamingos in HeroScape form. Layer the included inks to easily stamp the gorgeous birds, and create a scene with water below and clouds above. Your recipient will be tickled pink when they receive your card, embellished with the colorful gems or Teal Hero Pearls that round out the kit.

Kit Contents:

  • 6″ x 8″ Clear Stamp Set
  • 7 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • 5 Ink Cubes (Cotton Candy, Peony, Azalea, Arctic, Paradise)
  • Self-Adhesive Pink & Teal Gems
  • Teal Hero Pearls (0.6 oz)

Kit Value: $75; Kit Cost: $34.99

The first card I’m sharing mainly features the awesome layering stamp set included in the July My Monthly Hero Kit.

To create this card I first stamped the flamingos using the included stamp set in Cotton Candy, Pale Tomato, Crimson and INTENS-ified Black inks. I then die cut the flamingos out with the matching die.

Next, I trimmed down white cardstock to create a 4.5″ x 3.25″ panel. I then stamped the panel with several inks (Deep Ocean Bermuda, Paradise, Grape Juice, Ultra Pink, Pale Tomato, Papaya, Spicy Mustard & Dandelion) using the base layer for the water which is a stripe. When I finished stamping the panel I then adhered it and the flamingos to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the stamp set onto black cardstock. I then fussy cut the sentiment out and the finished the card by adhering it to the card front with foam adhesive.

My next card features the Birds of Paradise stamp set and dies which is one of the add-on products from this release

To create this card I first plant image twice in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto white cardstock. I then copic colored the two plants and then die cut them out using the matching dies. I then stamped the two butterflies also in INTENS-ified Black Ink and then copic colored them. When I finished coloring the butterflies I then die cut them out also with the matching dies.

Next, I ink blended over a 4.75″ x 3.5″ panel of white cardstock with Key Lime Fizz, Pine and Forever Green inks. I then adhered the plants and butterflies to the panel with foam adhesive and then trimmed off any overhang from the bottom.

Next, I stamped a sentiment from the stamp set onto the panel in INTENS-ified Black Ink. Lastly, I finished the card be adhering the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base with foam adhesive.

  1. These are beautiful, Channin! I really like both of these cards. The stripes in the background of the flamingo card are fantastic and “make” the card, IMO. I LOVE the birds of paradise, too! Great work as always!
