Hero Arts Color Week Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Today is a super exciting day over at Hero Arts, especially for all us color lovers because Hero Arts is adding new inks, inkers and cardstocks to their line!!

Announcing our new Core Ink line! Adding color to your projects could not be easier. This essential collection is the ideal ink for your everyday stamping and cardmaking. It includes fresh new colors and popular existing formulas to create a tightly designed color system. Each Core Ink pad features a new look with a palette on the underside of the lid. By popular demand, we are excited to now offer matching Inkers for every color! The Hero Hues line is rounded out with cardstock, specifically selected to work well with the Core Ink spectrum.

The card I’m sharing today features all the new cardstock colors except for one (Antique Blossom). Hero Arts colored cardstocks have always been a favorite of mine and I’m so excited to have more colors to play with.

To create this card I first die cut the new cardstocks (Charcoal, Granite, Eggplant, Ultra Pink, Passion Flower, Iris, Peacock, Shamrock, Pine, Cup O’ Joe & Woodland) with the Hexagon Infinity Dies to create a bunch of colored nesting hexagon frames. Next, I die cut a scrap of white cardstock with the largest die from the Hexagon Infinity Dies set and then adhered and inlaid the frames to the panel.

I then dry embossed an A2 panel of white cardstock with all the Hexagon Infinity Dies at once. Next, I adhered the inlaid hexagon panel over the dry embossed panel and then trimmed off the excess. I then adhere the panel to the front of an A2 top-folding white card base.

Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the Sending Love Stamp Set onto Pitch Black cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a strip and then finished the card by adhering the sentiment to the card front with foam adhesive.
