Hello friends!! Today the Hero Arts summer catalog releases and with it a bunch of new mixed media stamps, dies and products!!

I have two projects to share today. The first is a card featuring several of the new stamp sets.

To create this card I first ink blended the front of an A2 top-folding Dove White card base with Taffy, Grape Slush, Pool Party, Blue Hawaii and INTENS-ified Black Ink. I then die cut a moon with the Dream Catcher Fancy Dies out of scrap cardstock and used the diecut as a mask and ink blended over the card front with the same inks.
Next, I thoroughly dried my card front then stamp and bronze heat-embossed a stamp from the Tiling Textures Stamp Set. When I stamped the texture stamp I used a ripped piece of paper as a mask to create a rounded edge. I then finished the background by splattering water-down Unicorn ink to create the look of stars.

I then die cut 3 more moons out of Pitch Black cardstock and adhered them together. I then pressed the stacked die cut into Embossing & Watermark Ink and then heat-embossed it in Copper. Next I die cut the three layers of each feather out of Dove White cardstock and then adhered them together. I then die cut a string out of Pitch Black cardstock and then I adhered it, the moon, and feathers to the card front.

Lastly I finished the card with a Copper heat-embossed sentiment strip made with the Art Journal Messages Stamp Set.
My next project is a little different, I used the Dream Catcher Fancy Dies to create earrings!

To create these earrings I first die cut six layers of the moon a six layers of each feather out of Dove White cardstock. I then ink blended four of the moons with Taffy, Grape Slush, Pool Party, Blue Hawaii and INTENS-ified Black Ink and then splattered with a water-downed Unicorn ink. Next, I adhered the blended moons onto a plain moon and then adhered these onto another blended moon to create two stacked moons with color on both sides.

I then press a third of two diecut leaves of each style into Embossing & Watermark Ink and then heat embossed in Copper. Next, I adhered two matching leaves to the backside of the embossed leaves. I then sprayed the moon and leaves with a Matt fixative spray and allowed them to dry. Lastly I finished the earrings with jump rings to attach the feathers to the moons and the moons to the hooks.
