Pretty Pink Posh May Release Blog Hop and Giveaway

Hello friends!! I’m super excited to be joining the fun today over at Pretty Pink Posh celebrating their May release!! Today is the first day of this 3-day blog hop and I so excited to share with you my card create with these incredible release!

First off everything in this release is darling! I especially love all the new layering stencil sets and the fun crafty themed products! But the minute I saw the gorgeous new Spring Foliage Dies and the Layered Spring Flowers stencils I was instantly inspired.

To create this card I first ink blended the first layer of the Layered Spring Flowers lightly over the front of an A2 top-folding white card base with several Distress Inks (Shaded Lilac, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, Festive Berries, Spiced Marmalade & Mustard Seed). I then ink blended over the second layer of the flowers with the same inks but more heavy-handedly this time. Next, I positioned the final layer for the flowers, the flower centers, and ink blended them in Ripe Persimmon. Once I had finished ink blending the background I added white highlights to the flowers with a white gel pen.

I then moved onto creating my floral heart. To create my heart I first die a bunch of flowers and flower centers using the Spring Foliage Dies out of white cardstock. I then adhered the flower centers to the flowers and then arranged them into a heart-shaped wreath. When I had my wreath complete I then picked up all the flowers with a sheet of press-n-seal, flipped the wreath over and added foam tape to the backside. Next, I removed the backing on the tape and adhered the wreath to my card front.

I then die cut three “Celebrate” out of white cardstock using the Celebrate Script Die, adhered them together and then adhered my stacked sentiment to the card front. Next, I stamped and white heat-embossed a sentiment from the new Celebration Scripts Stamp Set, trimmed it down to a strip and added it to the card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I finished the card with some iridescent sequins.
