Pretty Pink Posh August Release and Blog Hop

Pretty Pink Posh August Release and Blog Hop

Hello friends!! I’m so super duper excited cause today I’m joining Pretty Pink Posh’s August release and blog hop!! Today is the first day of the three day long blog hop celebration and there are $25 gift certificates up for grabs each day of the hop!! Plus this release is now live so all these new goodies are now available at Pretty Pink Posh!

This release is Halloween themed and it is so flipping cute, I serious can’t handle it!! There are several adorable yet spooky stamp sets and even a fun stand-alone shaker dies!

My first card features the festive Halloween Wreath Stamp Set and coordinating dies.

To create this card I first stamped several images from the Halloween Wreath Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black onto Neenah solar white cardstock. I then copic colored the images and then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I ink blended a gradation over the front of an A2 top-folding white card base with several Distress Oxides (Wilted Violet, Spun Sugar, Dried Marigold, Peeled Paint, and Mowed Lawn). When I finished ink blending I then splattered water over the front to create water spots and then splattered black Gansai Tambi watercolor.

When the panel had dried I then stamped a sentiment in Versafine Onyx Black ink. Lastly, I finished the card by adhering all my die cuts with foam adhesive.

My last card features the sweet Halloween Circles Stamp Set and coordinating dies as well as the Boo Shaker Die Set.

To create this card first stamped several images from the Halloween Circles Stamp Set and the Halloween Wreath Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black. I then copic colored the images and then die cut them out with the coordinating dies. Next, I ink blended a scrap of white cardstock with the same Distress Oxides I used for the first card, splatter with black paint and then die cut it out with the pinking circle die from the Halloween Circles Stamp Set. Next, I adhered my copic colored circles to the ink blended ones with foam adhesive and then set aside.

I then ink blended the front of an A2 top-folding Kraft card base with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink and then splattered the front with white Gansai Tambi watercolor. I then created a sentiment by first die-cutting the Boo Shaker Die out of white cardstock four times, trimmed out the “boo” away from the pumpkin and adhered the boo’s together.

I then stamped and white heat embossed a sub-sentiment from the Halloween Wreath stamp set. I then finished my card by adhering the circles and my sentiments with liquid glue and my bats with foam adhesive.

  3. Not only is your coloring really beautiful but I loved how you did the circles in multiple colors, so very sweet.

  4. Your ink-blended background on the first card is very striking! Love it! The wreath looks right at home on it!

  7. Wonderful cards Channin! I love the inked background on your first card and the use of kraft on the second really makes it a stand out! Thanks for the great inspiration! Stay safe! 🙂

  8. Hi, Channin – You did a spectacular – or spooktacular? – job with that wreath card — the background and the coloring of the wreath itself are both fabulous. The card with the circle stamp set is also fantastic — love the gradient / blended outer rims of the scallopy circles. You are incredibly talented!
