May My Monthly Hero Release and Blog Hop

Hello crafty friends!! The May My Monthly Hero release is now available!! This month’s kit is a colorer’s dream!! The coral reef theme of this kit, with all the tropical fish and different types of coral is such fun to color.

Kit Contents:

  • 6” x 8” Clear Stamp Set
  • 12 Coordinating Frame Cuts
  • Intens-ified Black Ink Cube
  • Contour Ink Cube
  • Turquoise Sparkle Embossing Powder, 0.5 oz.
  • 2 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets Rose Quartz Cardstock
  • 2 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets Quartz Pearlescent Cardstock
  • 3 5.5″ x 8.5″ Sheets White Cardstock with Lined Texture

Kit Value: $70; Kit Cost: $34.99

I decided to watercolor these beautiful images with several Hero Arts Reactive Inks. I first stamped all my images in INTENS-ified Black Ink onto Bristol Smooth cardstock. I then watercolored the images with Reactive Inks. When I finished coloring all the images I then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I ink blended the front of a slimline white card base with Splash and Blue Hawaii Reactive Ink. I then placed the new Water Flow Slimline Stencil over the card front and ink blended again with Splash and Blue Hawaii inks.

Next, I adhered my images to my card front with foam adhesive. Lastly, I finished my card by stamping a sentiment in INTESN-ified Black Ink.

Hero Arts will be giving away one $50 gift card, drawn from the comments left across the hop. Enter by Sunday, May 9th at 11:59pm pacific, and the winner will be announced on the Hero Arts blog the following week.

  2. Love your card….all of it…but my favorite part is the background water you created! Stencil or stamp?

  3. Such a beautiful, bright card. Your watercoloring is lovely and the background is gorgeous.

  4. Love this card, Channin!! I especially love the effect of the Water Flow Slimline Stencil!! I did not pick that up and put it in my cart before, but now I am rethinking. I also love the colors you used on fish and coral.

  5. Beautiful cards! I love the depth you’ve created. I feel like I’m at the aquarium!

  6. Wow, I love your card. All the bright colors were great and I loved how you ink blended over your first blend. That sold it for me, I wouldn’t have thought of that. Thank you.
