Hello friends!! It’s time for a new Pinkfresh Studio Release!! This release is so so exciting because there’s something brand new coming to Pinkfresh, Hot Foil Plates!!
This was the first time I have ever used a hot foil system and foiling plates and oh boy was it fun!! I’m blown away with how crisp the results are with this method!
I created a pair of foiled cards using the new Folk Art Birds stencils, die, and plate.
To create these cards I first hot foiled white and pink cardstock with Folk Art Birds Hot Foil Plate in rose gold foil. I then ink blended over the images using the stencils and several ink colors (Coral Reef, Ballet Slipper, Peach Fuzz, Apricot, Lemon Whip, & Sweet Mustard).
I then trimmed the pink panel down to 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ and then dry embossed the panel with the Folk Art Birds die to add texture. Next, I adhered the panel onto an A2 top-folding white card base. I then foiled a sentiment with rose gold onto white cardstock using the Celebrate Hot Foil Plate. I then die cut the sentiment out with the matching die and adhered it to the card front with foam adhesive.
For the second card, I die cut out the foiled and ink blended images on the white panel. Next, I foiled my sentiment in rose gold onto pink cardstock with the Thank You So Much Hot Foil Plate and then die cut it out with the matching die. I then adhered a cream panel of cardstock onto the front of an A2 top-folding white card base. Next, I adhered some floral images to the card front and then trimmed off the excess. Lastly, I adhered my sentiment and the birds to the card front with foam adhesive.
