Honey Bee Stamps Autumn Afternoon Release and Blog Hop

Hello friends!! Today is day 2 of Honey Bee Stamps’ Autumn Afternoon Release Blog Hop and GIVEAWAY!! If you haven’t seen the first day here’s a link because I know you definitely don’t want to miss out on seeing any of the incredible inspiration!!

I have a couple cards and a VIDEO to share so let’s dive right on in! My first card features the sweet Apple Barrel Honey Cuts as well as the Blessed Honey Cuts and Stamp Set.

Blessed Apple Barrel Card

To create this card I first die cut the barrel out of textured woodgrain cardstock. I then die cut the hoops out of dark gray cardstock and then three sets of apples and leaves out of white cardstock. Next, I ink blended the barrel with Gathered Twigs Distress Ink and then the apples with several combinations of distress ink (Red: Abandoned Coral, Barn Door, Aged Mahogany; Yellow: Mustard Seed, Abandoned Coral, Tattered Straw; Green: Twisted Citron, Mowed Lawn) When I finished the apples I then ink blended the leaves in Mowed Lawn and Lucky Clover.

Next, I ink blended “blessed” die cut with the smallest die from the Blessed Honey Cuts die set in Abandoned Coral, Barn Door, and Aged Mahogany. I then adhered a leaf to each of the apples, the hoops onto the barrel and the “blessed” onto a shadow layer die cut out of white cardstock with the second largest die from the Blessed Honey Cuts die set. Next, I arranged the apples into a mound then used a piece of low-tack tape to hold them and the barrel in place, turned them all over and added foam adhesive to the backside.

I then stamped a sub-sentiment in Barn Door and Aged Mahogany using the Blessed Stamp Set then trimmed it down to a strip. Next, trimmed a sheet of pattern paper from the Hot Tropics Paper Pad down to 4 1/4″ x 5 1/2″ and then adhered it to the front of an A2 top-folding card base. Next, I removed the backing of the foam tape and adhered the apple barrel to the card front. I then adhered the “blessed” onto the barrel and then finished the card by adhering the sub-sentiment with foam adhesive.

My next card features the beautiful Sweet Sunflowers stamps and dies as well as the fun Hexi Slimline Cover Plate Top and Base!

To create this card I first stamped several sunflowers and leaves from the Sweet Sunflowers Stamp Set in Versafine Onyx Black ink onto Bristol smooth paper. I then watered colored the images in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Once I had finished coloring my flowers and leaves in I then die cut them with the matching dies.

Next, I die cut two slimline panels, one with the Hexi Slimline Cover Plate TOP and the other with the Hexi Slimline Cover Plate BASE. I then adhered the two together and then adhered them to the front of a Kraft slimline card base (7 1/4″ x 8 1/2″; scored at 3 5/8″).

Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Sweet Sunflowers Stamp Set onto black cardstock and then die cut it with the matching die. I then adhered the flowers and leaves to the card front with either liquid glue or foam adhesive to vary the dimension and then finished the card by adhering the sentiment with foam adhesive.
