Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Countdown

Hero Arts September My Monthly Hero Countdown

Hello friends!! This month Hero Arts is changing things up a bit with their My Monthly Hero countdowns and have asked their design team to share their project ideas on their own blogs! Today is the third and final day of the countdown and Tuesday, September 8th the kit will launch!

I have a festive autumn card to share featuring the awesome Heroscape stamp set included in the kit!!

To create this card I first stamped the background detail layer in Cup O’ Joe onto a panel of Antique Ivory cardstock. I then partially inked up the same stamp in Charcoal ink and stamped again to create a slight gradation. Next, I stamped the background base layer Moss and then partially in Pine. I then stamped the pumpkins detail layer in Soft Vanilla and then partially in Soft Apricot. I didn’t stamp the last layer for the pumpkin patch (pumpkins base layer) because I used colored cardstock so I let that remain the base for the pumpkins instead. Next, I stamped the base layer for corn fields in Soft Vanilla and then partially in Soft Apricot. I then stamped the detail layer for the corn field in Pumpkin Pie.

With my landscape stamped I then die cut it out with the matching die. Next, I ink blended the sky in Deep Ocean, Indigo and Navy inks onto a panel of Dove white cardstock. I then dried my panel with my heat tool and then stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment. Next, I stamped the birds on the panel and the single bird onto a scrap of Dove White cardstock in INTENS-ified Black Ink and then die cut it out with the matching die.

Next, I stamped three haystacks onto Antique Linen cardstock and then colored in some details with Copic markers (YR31, YR23, & E35). I then die cut the haystacks out with the matching die. I then adhered the panel and landscape with Precision glue to the front of an A2 top-folding sand card base, then added stars with a white gel pen. Next, I finished the card by adhering the haystacks and bird with foam adhesive.

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my card! Head over to the Hero Arts blog for more inspiration using the September My Monthly Hero kit.
