VIDEO: Creating Your Own Stitchables Patterns

Hello friends!! In today’s video I share some of my tips and tricks for creating your own designs with the new Stitchables line from Waffle Flower Crafts!!

I love giving products a little bit of my own spin so creating my own cross-stitch designs was the first direction I went with these fun new dies. Check out the video to see how I created this cute Christmas sweater with the Stitchable Sweater Die and then paired it with the adorable Be a Reindeer Die.

Watch below or on my YouTube channel.

To create this card I first die cut the sweater out of 110lb white cardstock. I then created my design on my sweater first with a pencil and then added color with color pencils when the design was finalized. Once, I had the design complete I then ink blended over the sweater with Candied Apple Distress Ink. Next, I cross-stitched the sweater. When I had finished stitching the sweater I then created my reindeer.

I first die cut two reindeers using the Be a Reindeer Die out of white cardstock. I then trimmed the body off off one reindeer and then trimmed off everything else except for the forehead on the second. Next, I ink blended the two reindeer with several Distress Oxide colors. I then adhered the reindeer together and inlaid the eyes and nose with tape.

Next,  I die cut a strand of lights out with the Holiday Lights Die out of white cardstock. I then ink blended the lights and strand in several Distress Oxide colors and then adhered the lights to the strand. I then stamped a sentiment using the 2-Step Christmas Stamp Set in Versafine onto a mist slimline panel (3 5/8″ x 8 5/8″). Next I adhered the panel onto a slimline white card base (7 1/4″ x 8 5/8″, scored at 3 5/8″) and then finished the card by adhering my die cut with liquid glue and foam adhesive.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video!! Thank you so much for stopping by!
