VIDEO: Holly Bird Shaker Card

Hello friends!!! Today I’m sharing a new video demonstrating how I created this fun shaker card with the new Holly Bird Combo and the Nesting Hexagon Die Set from Waffle Flower Crafts!! Watch to see how I watercolor this adorable image and then use the Nesting Hexagon Die Set to build a shaped shaker for this cozy holiday card!

To create this card I first stamped the image on Bristol paper in Versafine Onyx Black and then watercolored the image in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens. Next, I die cut the bird out with the matching die.

I then die cut a sheet of pattern paper from the Unicorn Half-Half Lines paper pad with the new Nesting Hexagon Die Set to create a frame. I then used the same set of hexagon dies to die cut white craft foam twice to create two dimensional frames. Next, I trimmed down another sheet of pattern paper from the Unicorn Half-Half Lines paper pad to create a 4 1/8″ x 5 3/8″ panel and adhered it onto an A2 top-folding white card base.

I then adhered the two craft foam frames, one on top of the other, onto the card front. I then adhered the bird inside and then added foam balls into the well of the shaker. Next, I die cut a piece of acetate with a hexagon die and then adhered the pattern paper frame on top and then adhered both onto the card front. I then finished the card with a white heat embossed sentiment stamped onto black cardstock.
