Pinkfresh Studio’s June Release

Pinkfresh Studio’s June Release

Hello friends!! It’s one of my favorite times of the month, time for another PinkFresh Studio Release and oh boy have they done it again!! AND if you were a fan like I was of the chevron and diamond pop-out cling stamps in the last release, then this release is for you!!

IGSquare-BackgroundStampsBlogHop

For today’s hop I created a couple of cards featuring the new super fun Pop Out: Diagonal Stripes Cling Stamp!!

To create these cards I started by stamping two A2 panels of white cardstock with the Pop Out: Diagonal Stripes Cling Stamp. To do this I had to first position the entire stamp in my MISTI and then stamped it onto a scrap of cardstock larger than an A2 panel to create a guide. Next, I centered an A2 panel of acetate over the stamped image and then traced around the acetate. This will be where I place my A2 panel of white cardstock.

I then adhered my panel to the guide (inside the traced panel) with a tape runner and then removed the stripe stamp adjacent to the one I wanted to stamp (this makes it easier to ink up) and then inked up my first stripe and stamped it. I then repositioned the stripe that I had removed, then removed the two stamps on either side of it and then inked it up and stamped it. I then repeated this process till I had stamped all the stripes on both panels. I used several colors of Pinkfresh inks to stamp these stripes, the colors I used for either card are listed below.

You card:

  • Sparkling Rose
  • Passion Fruit
  • Apricot
  • Sunshine
  • Key Lime
  • Meadow
  • Summer Shower
  • Blue Jay
  • Lavender

Hello card:

  • Bubble Gum
  • Berrylicious
  • Passion Fruit
  • Sweet Mustard
  • Meadow
  • Mermaid Cove
  • Seaside
  • Sapphire
  • Candy Violet

After I had stamped both panels, I then trimmed down one of the panels and then die cut it with the Ornate Oval Frame Die. Next, I die cut the frame out of white craft foam and then adhered the striped frame on top. I then adhered the rest of the panel and the dimensional frame onto an A2 top-folding card base. Next, I die cut four “you” using the Sentiment Suite: You word die out of white cardstock and adhered three together.

I then die cut a shadow layer out of vellum using the same die set and then adhered the vellum onto my stacked die cuts and then finished by adhering the last cardstock “you” on top. I the stamped and white heat embossed a sub-sentiment using the Simply Sentiments: You Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I then trimmed the sub-sentiment down and the adhered both parts of my sentiment onto my card front.

For my second card, I decided to add color to the negative spaces of my second striped panel. I did this by taping off a section with painters tape and then ink blending with the same ink I had used to stamp the adjacent stripe. I then repeated this process for the whole panel.

Once I had finished ink blending the panel I then die cut it with the two largest dies from the Ornate Banner Die set. I then also die cut white craft foam with the same two dies and then adhered the striped banner frame onto its craft foam counterpart. Next, I adhered the striped banner and the dimensional banner frame onto an A2 top-folding white card base.

I then die cut four “hello” out of white cardstock and one shadow layer out of vellum using the Phrase Builder: Hello Die set. I then adhered them together in the same manner I adhered the “you” for the previous card. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sub-sentiment using the Simply Sentiments: Hello Stamp Set onto black cardstock. I then trimmed the sentiment down to a stripe and then adhered it and the “hello” onto my card front.

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my two cards!
