Easter Merry Wreath Card

Easter Merry Wreath Card

Hello friends!! Today I have a video for a card I shared for Waffle Flower Crafts 6th Birthday blog hop. In this video I create an Easter card with the Merry Wreath Combo set which is a Christmas set!

Watch to see how a palette change and a couple tweaks to the images transitions this set beautifully to a new theme! Hopefully some of the ideas I share in this video will help you stretch the holiday themed sets you already own!

To create this card, I first stamp the fox in a couple of Pinkfresh inks (Clementine & Persimmon). Next, I stamped the wreath in Fresh Pear and Key Lime for the main layer for the leaves and then I stamped the detail layer for the leaves in Doe to make this layer look like branches. I didn’t stamp the berry layer but instead colored all the berry openings with several spring colored copics (RV21, YR02, Y02, B01 & V04).

Next, I stamped a the bow and ladder from the set in Sky Blue and Summer Shower and then die cut them with the matching dies as well. I then die cut all the images out with the matching dies as well as three small eggs with the Spring Basket Die set. Next, I copic colored the scarf on the fox (RV21, RV23, R22) to turn it into a bow/ribbon and then colored the eggs (YR00 + YR02, Y00 + Y02, V01 + V04).

I then adhered a 4 1/8 x 5 3/8 panel of light pink cardstock onto an A2 top-folding card base. Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Rejoice Rabbit Stamp Set onto the card front. Lastly, I finished the card by adhering all the die cuts with either foam tape or liquid glue.

I hope you enjoyed my card and video! Thank you so much for stopping by!
