Pinkfresh Studio March Slimline Essentials Release

Pinkfresh Studio March Slimline Essentials Release

Hello friends!! I’m so so excited to be joining the celebration for Pinkfresh Studio’s March Slimline Essentials Release!!

IG-Square

This release is absolutely awesome!! I have recently discovered slimline cards and I have been loving making them! It’s like a whole new canvas for cardmaking!!! The different dimensions allow you to construct scenes and layouts that were never possible before and this has just recharged my creative juices and got my wheels turning big time!! And now having some dies to aid in my designing and creating is just so wonderful!!

I’m so excited to share my cards with you all so let’s dive right in!!

First up is a couple cards I created with the new Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die.

For this first card I first die cut the Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die out of white cardstock. I then die cut two leafy frames also out of white cardstock with the Foliage Frame Die. Next I cut the frames up into their four sides and then ink blended the leaves with Mint, Key Lime, Aquamarine, and Olive Pinkfresh Studios Inks.

I then tucked the sections of leaves into some of the openings of the Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes diecut, trimming the sections whenever they were too large. Once I had all the leaves arranged the way I liked I then pulled them out, added some liquid glue to the edge, and then popped them back into the panel diecut.

Next, I added a bunch of tiny foam squares to the backside of the panel and then adhered it onto a white slimline (7 1/4″ x 8 5/8″, scored at 3 5/8″ on the 7 1/4″ side) card base. Then stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Floral Vase Stamp Set onto a strip of black cardstock. Lastly I finished the card by adhering the sentiment with foam squares to the card front.

My next card has a very different look from my first but both feature the Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes Die.

For this card I first ink blended a 3 5/8″ x 8 5/8″ panel of white cardstock with several Pinkfresh Studio inks (Sparkling Rose, Apricot, Lemon Whip, Key Lime, Aquamarine, Summer Showers, Blue Jay, and Stargazer). When I finished I then die cut the panel with the Slim Fancy Diagonal Stripes Dies.

I then ink blended a second 3 5/8″ x 8 5/8″ panel of white cardstock with the same Pinkfresh inks but this time much lighter than I blended the first. I then adhered the diecut panel onto the panel with liquid glue and then adhered both to a slimline card base (7 1/4″ x 8 5/8″, scored at 3 5/8″ on the 7 1/4″ side).

Next, I die cut “hello” out of white cardstock and white craft foam using the Sentiment Suite: Hello die set. I then die cut some vellum with the shadow die from the set and then adhered the cardstock hello to the vellum and then the vellum to the craft foam.

Next, I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Leafy Decor Stamp Set on a strip of gray cardstock. I then finished the card by adhering the “hello” with liquid glue and the sentiment strip with foam squares to the card front.

And the last card I’m sharing today, is a card I created with the Slim Lacy Edgers Die Set and the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die Set.

First I die cut seven 3/4″ x 8 5/8″ strips of white cardstock with one of the dies from the Slim Lacy Edgers Die Set. I then ink blended the strips with several Pinkfresh inks (Sparkling Rose, Apricot, Lemon Whip, Key Lime, Aquamarine, Summer Showers, and Blue Jay). Next, I adhered the strips to the front of a slimline card base (7 1/4″ x 8 5/8″, scored at 3 5/8″ on the 7 1/4″ side).

I then die cut a frame using the Slim Diagonal Stitched Rectangles Die out of white cardstock. I then added thin foam strips to the back side and then adhered onto the card front.

I then die cut “celebrate” out of white cardstock and white craft foam using the Kelly Alpha Lower Case Die Set and then adhered the two together and then adhered them to my card front.

Lastly, I finished the card with a stamped and white heat embossed sentiment from the Layered Bouquet Stamp Set, stamped on a strip of gray cardstock then popped up with foam squares.

And that’s it! I hope you enjoyed my cards!
