Hello friends!! Today I’m joining Spellbinders in celebrating their March Clubs with a blog hop and GIVEAWAY!!
I created a cute interactive card with the March Die of the Month and the March Stamp of the Month.
To create this card first I die cut the basket, bunny, and foliage out of white cardstock using the Die of the Month. I then ink blended the basket in Antique Linen and Fossilized Amber Distress Oxide. I then die cut a second basket and ink blended that in Tea Dye Distress Oxide and then adhered the first basket on top. Next, I ink blended the rabbit with Tumbled Glass Distress Oxide.
I then ink blended his nose with Spun Sugar and his eyes with Black Soot. I then placed a small piece of micropore tape behind his head and then inlaid the eyes and nose. Next, I ink blended the leaves with Crushed Olive and Mowed Lawn Distress Oxide. For the flowers, I die cut a bunch them out of dark pink and a just a pair out of light pink cardstock. I then die cut the centers out of yellow cardstock and then adhered them to the flowers.
Next I created a mask by die cutting a 3 1/4″ x 4 1/2″ rectangle of contact paper with the basket die. I then removed the inside negative for the basket and then trimmed off the top nubs on the contact paper basket. I then removed the backing and placed the contact paper rectangle onto a 3 3/8″ x 4 5/8″ panel of white cardstock and then removed the backing on the contact paper basket and place that inside the rectangle onto the cardstock. Next I ink blended the opening with Fossilized Amber and Tea Dye Distress Oxide to creating the back of the basket.
Next, I cut 1/4″ x 1 1/2″ slot on the ink blended panel with a craft knife. I then created a pull tab by adhering two 1/2″ x 4 5/8″ strips of white cardstock together. I then adhered two supporter strips to the backside of the ink blended panel to hold the pull tab in place. Next, I added a small square of foam tape to the pull tab through the opening on the ink blended panel. I then trimmed the rabbit just below the paw and then added it to the foam tape. I then stamped a sentiment from the Stamp of the Month in Versafine onto the panel.
I then die cut two baskets out of white craft foam and adhered them together. Next I trimmed them to make sure the rabbit had enough room to move behind the basket and adhered them to the cardstock basket and then adhered the basket onto the panel.
I then decorated only the edges of an A2 top-folding card base made from pink cardstock with the dark pink flowers. I then added foam tape to the based of the panel, avoiding the pull tab and then adhered it to the card front. Lastly I finished the card by adhering the foliage and some of the flowers to the basket.
I hope you enjoyed my card! Thank you so much for stopping by!
