January My Monthly Hero Release

January My Monthly Hero Release

Hello friends!! Today Hero Arts’ January My Montly Hero Kit is now available!!! To celebrate Hero Art’s is hosting a blog hop and giveaway!! I love LOVE this release!! There are so many beautiful florals, ranging from stamps to even dies!!

My first card focuses on the My Monthly Hero Kit exclusively. I love the floral dies in this set, I wheels were spinning the moment I got my hands on them, so many possibilities!!!

For this card I first die cut several flowers, leaves, and a butterfly out of watercolor paper. I then watercolored all the diecuts in with several Hero Arts reactive inks (Key Lime Fizz, Fog, Blue Raspberry, Green Apple, Splash, Berry Smoothie, Grape Slush, Lemon Drop, Creamsicle, Taffy, and Fruit Punch).

Next, I created the wrapping for the bouquet. I first diecut the wrapping out of Kraft cardstock. I then stamped the print using the kit’s stamp set in Hero Arts’ Cup O’ Joe ink. Next, I crumpled the cardstock up, then smoothed it back out and folded it into the bouquet. I then adhered an 4.125″ X 5.375″ panel of arctic cardstock onto an A2 top-folding card base. Next, I splatter white Gansai Tambi paint over the card front.

Once the panel was was dry I adhered the bouquet wrapping and then added the flowers with foam tape. I then stamped and gold heat embossed a sentiment. I then die cut it out using a die from the kit and attached it to the card front with foam tape. I finished the card by adhering the butterfly.

Next up is a few cards I created with several of the gorgeous add-ons from this release.

First up is this card I created with the Bird with Bouquet Stamp and the Flower Bouquet Pieces Stamp Set.

IMG_4623

To create this card, I first stamped the Bird with Bouquet stamp in Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink and then copic colored the image. Once I had finished coloring the image I then fussy cut it out.

Next, I created the background by arranging several of the small floral stamps from the Flower Bouquet Pieces Stamp Set in my MISTI in the lower right quarter section of an A2 panel of Cherry cardstock. I then inked the stamps up with Hero Arts Crimson ink and stamped. I then rotated the panel 180 degrees and then stamped again. Next, I arranged the stamps again this time in the lower left corner of the panel then stamped and then rotated and stamped again to complete the panel.

Lastly, I finished this card by stamping and white embossing a sentiment from the Flower Bouquet Pieces Stamp Set and adhering the focal image with foam tape.

Next up is a similar card I created but this time only featuring the Flower Bouquet Pieces Stamp Set.

First, I created the background in exactly the same manner I did the previous card except I stamped on pink cardstock with Worn Lipstick Distress Oxide. I then stamped several images in Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink and then copic colored all the images. Once I finished coloring, I then die cut them out with the matching dies.

Next, I stamped a sentiment in Hero Arts Intens-ified Black Ink and then adhered the bouquet and florals with foam tape. Lastly, I finished the card by adding dewdrops with Nuvo Crystal Drops Morning Dew.

And last is a card I created with the Togetherness Flower Bouquet Stamp Set.

IMG_4618

For this card I first stamped the floral image in Antique Linen Distress Ink onto Bristol paper. I then watercoloring the image in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens (Leaves: 346, 158, 126, Flowers: 055, 946, 685, 723, 925, 847). Once I had finished coloring the image, I then die cut it out with the matching die.

Next, I created my background by first stamping and gold heat embossing a sentiment from the Togetherness Flower Bouquet Stamp Set onto a panel of Adriatic cardstock. I then ink blended with Black Soot Distress Ink in the center and then splattered white and gold Gansai Tambi paint.

I then finished the card by adhering the floral image with foam tape.

I hope you enjoyed! Thank you so much for stopping by!
