Pinkfresh Studio: World Cardmaking Day Challenge 1

Pinkfresh Studio: World Cardmaking Day Challenge 1

Hello friends!! Happy World Cardmaking Day! Pinkfresh Studio is celebrating World Cardmaking Day with two challenges!! I LOVE card challenges, they were my avenue into this incredible community!! The first challenge’s theme is Favorite Technique!!

I chose an oldie but a goodie technique, ink smooshing!! I first ink smooshed with Pinkfresh Studio’s new line of inks, releasing in mid October, onto a piece of acetate. I used Meadow, Tidal Pond, and Olive. I then die cut the paper with the Layered Wreath Die twice. Next I die cut a sentiment from mirrored gold and glitter gold cardstock using the Classic Holiday Word Dies as well as a bunch of circles with a die from he Layered Wreath Die.

I then stacked and adhered the sentiments on top of each other but slightly off-set. Next, I ink blended the sides of an A2 top-fold card base with Ocean Breeze. Once ink blended I splattered the card front with watered down Ocean Breeze and gold Gansai Tambi watercolor. I then adhered one of the wreaths onto the card front. I then adhered the second with foam tape and then glued the gold circles down. Next, I adhered the sentiment and added a bow and strip of ribbon to the top.

And that’s it!! I hope you enjoyed and will give the challenge a try yourself! Plus Pinkfresh will be giving away $50 gift certificate randomly to one of the participants!!
