Waffle Flower Crafts January Release

Waffle Flower Crafts January Release

Hello friends! Today is Waffle Flower’s January Release Blog Hop! Yay!!

201901-blog-hop-badge

There are so many incredible new stamps and dies in this release but that’s not all!!! Waffle Flower now has enamel dots! Three different sets in fact, a rainbow set called Up & Running, a very pretty sparkly set called Stardust, and my personal favorite the ever useful Clean & Clear Set!

And in addition to all that, Waffle Flower has changed die manufacturers and now all new dies come de-tabbed, with a magnet storage sheet, and 30% of the savings have been passed onto you.

Ok enough talk let’s get to the cards shall we!! 😉

The first card up is one in which I used the Painted Landscape Die and the new Here for You Stamp Set.

This gorgeous die and stamp set were both designed by the brilliant JJ Bolton!

I made a video for this card so please check it out below or on my YouTube channel!

I couldn’t help myself and had to make a second card with this incredible die. I know this card is very similar to the first but for this one I used distressed inks minis (mustard seed, ripe persimmon, picked raspberry, shaded lilac, and chipped sapphire).

I applied them directly to the paper die cuts which created a slightly irregular and varied look. I also applied the ink to all the sunset pieces together instead of coloring the sections separatley. Once again I used the new Here for You Stamp Set for my sentiment but this time I just stamped it in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink onto the panel.

Next up is the gorgeous Magnolia Combo Set.

For this card I first created the background with just water and a paint brush!! I simply painted the stripes with water onto an A2 panel of watercolor paper and then poured on some embossing powder. Once the back ground was completed, I stamped several flowers and leaves from the Magnolia Stamp Set onto watercolor paper with Versafine Onyx black ink.

I then watercolored the images in with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and die cut them out with the matching dies. Next I adhered the panel onto my card base, added the flowers, leaves, and sentiment with foam tape. Lastly I added some of clear enamel dots from the Clean & Simple Set.

Next up is the adorable Group Hug Combo Set.

For this card I first stamped the image in Distress Ink Antique Linen onto Bristol paper. I then used Tombow Dual Brush Pens to watercolor the image in.

Next, I die cut the image out with the matching die. I then stamp and heat embossed a sentiment from the set in white embossing powder onto black cardstock and cut it out with the matching dies.

For my second card, I wanted to create an example of what you could do with this cute set if you didn’t want to color it.

wfc-201901-271217 group hugs-channin 1a

First, I partially die cut the the front of an A2 card base made from Kraft cardstock.

I then stamped the image from the Group Hugs Stamp Set onto the card front in Distress Oxide Vintage Photo.

Next, I adhered 5 stripes of colored cardstock onto the inside of the card. I then finished the card with white heat embossed sentiments.

Next up is the sweet Favorite Valentine Combo Set.

wfc-201901-271220 favorite landscape-channin 1a

First, I stamped and white heat embossed the sentiment and the two main figures from the Favorite Valentine Stamp Set onto front of an A2 card base made from 110lb white cardstock. Next, I arranged several stamps in a MISTI around the embossed sentiment and images on the lower half of the card front and then stamped and white heat embossed.

Then I flipped the card and around and stamped and heat embossed again. Next I ink blended over the card front with Distress Oxides (Spun Sugar, Picked Raspberry, Barn Door, and Wilted Violet). Lastly I finished the card with some enamel dots from the Up & Running Set.

Next up is the beautiful Tile Panel Die.

wfc-201901-310258 tile panel-channin 1a

For this card first I die cut the Tile Panel Die from white cardstock. Next, I topic colored the negative pieces with 8 rainbow colors. I then stamped the sentiment from the Magnolia Stamp Set onto the panel with Versafine Onyx Black.

Then I adhered the tile panel onto an A2 card base made from gray cardstock and then adhered the negative pieces back into the tile panel frame with liquid adhesive.

The last set is the beautiful Spice Pot Set!

For this first card I stamped the image and the sentiment onto kraft cardstock.

Then I colored the image in with Prismacolor colored pencils. I also added white gel pen accents to highlight the design on the planter.

For this second card I created an Distress ink background by smooshing Distress ink minis directly onto the surface of an A2 panel of watercolor paper in a grid like pattern.

Once smooshed I sprayed the ink with water which activated the ink allowing the colors to mix and spread. Once dry I trimmed my panel down, stamped the image and sentiment, and then mounted onto my card base.

  21. I always have to set aside a good 10 minutes for your release posts, because you always create so many amazing cards! I love that you did a fully colored version of the group hug (no-line no less!), and just the outline. They both look amazing and would both be equally lovely to receive. Your use of the background dies is fantastic, and I love how you make such good use of even the smallest of sets. Thanks for sharing with us!
