Waffle Flower Crafts October Release

Hello everyone and welcome to Waffle Flower Crafts October Release Blog Hop!!

This is such a wonderful release with new sets from Liz Mytinger, Kamo, Flora Waycott, and even one by my husband!! Not only that, there is also a new interactive die that’s amazingly versatile and will definitely give your cards a big wow factor! Once again I have ridiculous 😜 amount of cards to share with you all so let’s dive right in!!!

First up, let’s take a look at the new Pull-Tab Tree Die and Christmas Tree Stamp Set.

These two products come together in the Christmas Tree Combo Set.

This die was specifically designed to create a pop-up Christmas Tree like you see in these first two cards but there is really so much more you can do with this cone shape, making this a super versatile pop-up die!!

Plus with a simple hack you can modify the Pull-Tab Tree Die to create a surprise pop-up on the inside of your card, that pops when you open the card!

Watch my video below to see how I how modified the Pull-Tab Tree Die set to create this pop-up candy corn card!

Pull-tab Tree Die 3 Ways

Watch below or on my YouTube channel.

I even used the Pull-Tab Tree Die to create a party hat!

I stamped in the Pull-Tab tree die cut with the Plaid Play Stamp Set in an assortment of Distress Oxides (Mustard Seed, Twisted Citron, Tumbled Glass, Salty Ocean, Wilted Violet, Picked Raspberry, & Spiced Marmalade) to create the rainbow stripes then assembled the Pull-Tab!

I also added a Pom-Pom to the tree star topper to complete the transformation! The sentiments and the cute kiddos are all from the new Yippee Stamp Set!

An add on to the Christmas Tree Combo is the Pull-Tab Tree Pop-up Add-on Die or you can get all three with the Pull-Tab Tree Bundle. This die is amazing!! It adds so many gorgeous boughs to the Pull-Tab tree and really creates a stunning dimensional Christmas tree.

I have a full video on this card over at Simon Says Stamp’s Blog on October 8th.

I love love love how this card turned out!! I used glitter cardstock for the branches and added a bunch of sparkly gems to them!

It reminds me of those vintage ceramic light-up Christmas trees! I want one so bad and ideally it would look just like this!

Let’s move onto the next combo, the Yippee Combo Set! This super fun set is illustrated by the amazing Kamo! Her people images are the best and this set is full of darling kiddos!

I first made these two letter substitution cards with the Cutaway Alpha Stamp Set and the Yippee Stamp Set. I stamped “Hooray” minus one “o” onto a panel with the Cutaway Alpha Stamp Set.

I then stamped and watercolored a kid from the Yippee Stamp Set with Tombow Dual Brush Pens and added it to the “Hooray” in place of the missing “o”.

I finished the cards with a sentiment from the Yippee Stamp Set as well.

Next up is this fun spinner shaker card!

I used the Sun Shine Panel Die to create the shaker frame then cut a slot in it for my spinner using the Sentiments Die.

I copic colored girl from the Yippee Set for my spinner and also used the Yippee Stamp Set for my sentiment. Stay tuned to Waffle Flower’s Youtube channel for a thorough video on this card coming soon.

Next up is the Hello Pumpkin Combo Set illustrated by Liz Mytinger!! I absolutely adore this set!! The all mice are soooooo cute especially those pumpkins mice, I mean come on!!

I created two cards with this set and I will have a video next coming next week on these two cards so I’ll keep it brief.

But basically I watercolored all my images with Tombow Dual Brush Pens.

I also inked blended the backgrounds with Distress Oxides (Mowed Lawn, Mustard Seed, Spiced Marmalade and Ripe Persimmon).

For this second card I also stamped on the tan front panel with the leaf and acorn images from the Hello Pumpkin Stamp Set in tan ink.

And I heat embossed a sentiment with copper embossing powder.

Let’s move onto the Sweater Weather Combo! This beautiful set is illustrated by Flora Waycott!! I just love her whimsical style!

I did some pattern stamping for this first card. I stamped the sweaters in blueprint sketch distress ink and then watercolored them with more Distress inks (Ripe Persimmon, Mustard Seed, & Worn Lipstick).

I completed the card with a white heat embossed sentiment in black cardstock.

For my second card I also stamped one of the sweater in Blueprint Sketch and watercolored it with Distress Inks. I also stamped a background on a coral panel with the sweater in WF’s My Pleasure Dye Ink.

I then added a stitched border to the panel with the Patched Layers Die. I then finished the card by stamping the sentiment in Blueprint Sketch Distress Ink.

Next up is the My Sunshine Stamp Set! And this set that was illustrated by my husband.

I kept this card pretty clean and simple and just stamped the image and the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black and then colored it with Prismacolor colored pencils.

And the last set I have to share with you is Coffee Time Combo!

I had a lot of fun with this set and did some paper piecing!

I picked out some patterned paper in rainbow of colors. I then stamped the coffee cup onto each of the patterned papers, as well as onto kraft and white cardstock. Then fussy cut the cups from the patterned paper, the lids from the white cardstock and the coffee cozy’s from kraft cardstock.

I then assembled the coffee cups and added them and a white embossed sentiment to a A10 cardbase.

And that’s it! Phew!! I hope I didn’t lose anyone along the way! 😜
