Waffle Flower Crafts August Release

Waffle Flower Crafts August Release

Hello all and thanks for joining us in Waffle Flower’s August Release Blog Hop!! This is such an incredible release with so many innovative and beautiful products and I have a lot of cards to share so let’s dive right in!!

First up is these two cards that I created with the new Color Swatches Stamp Set!

Not only did I use this set to create the backgrounds but I also used it to create a glazing chart which helped me pick a wonderful Distress Ink palette! To see the whole process please check out the video below.

Glazing Chart with Distress Inks & 2 Cards

Watch below or on my YouTube Channel.

Next up is a couple of cards I created with the new Adventures Stamp Set!

This is such a fun stamp set! Kamo’s illustrations are so enchanting and gestural and the intentionally leafless tree allows you to use whatever coloring technique of your choice to adorn it!

For this card I chose to use ink smooshing with Distress Inks to create the leaves. You can check out the video tutorial over at Simon Says Stamp!

Next up is an autumn version of this card with the Adventures Stamp Set.

For this card I used a really fun spray bottle technique to create the leaves.

I will have a video coming soon on this technique, so stay tuned! 😉

Last up is a group of cards I created with the new Lacy Flower XL Die and a few simple watercolor techniques! I will only briefly describe how I created these cards because I will also have a tutorial video

For these two cards I created two simple graded washes using my Gansai Tambi watercolors. I used only a single color for each card.

I used one graded wash as a background for the card on the left but die cut the second wash with the Lacy Flower XL Die for the card on the right.

The sentiments are from the Adventures Stamp Set.

For this card I created a graded wash with 2 colors. I then adhered a white Lacy Flower onto the wash and then stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Adventures Stamp Set.

For these last two cards I played with a couple wet on wet techniques and created 2 panels.

I die cut one with the Lacy Flower XL Die and adhered it to an A2 top-folding card base. For the second panel, I die cut the Lacy Flower XL Die from mirrored gold and adhered it to the side of the panel.

I trimmed off the excess and then glued the remaining portions to the panel and trimmed again. I then finished the card with a gold embossed sentiment on black cardstock.

Really enjoyed seeing your work, thanks.
