Waffle Flower’s December 2017 Release

BLOG-HOP-BADGE

Hello everyone and welcome to Waffle Flower’s Valentine’s Day 2017 Release Blog Hop!

I’m here today with several cards showcasing some of the fantastic new products from Waffle Flower Crafts! Yay! Let’s dive right on in shall we!

First, up is the Stitched Love Stamp Set with matching die. This set is a cross-stitch inspired stamp set and was designed by the fabulous Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery. I truly love very single one of Waffle Flower’s cross-stitch stamps set but this one might be at the very top of my list! The set comes with sweet cross-stitch pears and strawberries, plus several adorable sentiments. I chose to use the strawberries this time and here’s what I created!

First, I stamped the woodgrain background using the Layering Woodgrain Stamp Set and WF inks, Tickled Pink and My Pleasure, on an A2 white top-folding card base. I then stamped the strawberries from the Stitched Love Stamp Set in WF My Pleasure and Distress Oxide Lucky Clover on some white cardstock and then die cut the images out using the matching dies. Next, I created the basket by die cutting the roof from the Pop-up House Die and the smaller base from the A2 Nested Domes Die twice out of kraft cardstock.

I then die cut a scalloped panel from white cardstock using the Lacy Layers 2 Die and adhered it to the front of my card. Next, I attached the basket with foam tape onto the panel and then arranged the strawberries inside using foam tape and glue to hold them in place. Lastly, I stamped a sentiment from the Stitched Love Stamp Set in WF My Pleasure on white cardstock and then die cut it out using the matching die and attached it to the basket with foam tape.

Next up is the Morning Stamp Set and matching die designed by Flora Waycott! I just love Flora’s whimsical and folksy style and this new set is definite gem! Here’s what I created.

IMG_6703

First, I stamped the woodgrain background using the Layering Woodgrain Stamp Set and Distress Oxide Iced Spruce and WF ink Like a Pro on an A2 top-folding card base made from white cardstock. Next, I stamped several of the images from the Morning Stamp Set in several Distress Oxides (Salty Ocean, Spiced Marmalade, Lucky Clover, Crack Pistachio & Twisted Citron) and a couple of Waffle Flower inks (You Said What & New Fish in Pond) and then cut them out using the matching dies.

IMG_6704

Then using a brush and some water I re-activated the Salty Ocean ink on the mirror and pulled the color down towards the center. Once the mirror was dry I stamped my sentiment in WF’s New Fish in Pond Dye in the center and then adhered it and all the other stamped images to the front of the card with foam tape.

Next up is the sweet Little Bakers Stamp Set and matching die also designed by Flora Waycott. This set is so so so cute and the sentiments are wonderful! Here’s my creation.

IMG_6702

First, I created the background by repeat stamping a strip from the Plaid Play Stamp Set in WF’s New Fish in Pond on an A2 top-folding card base made from pistachio colored cardstock. I then stamped one of the girls from the Little Bakers Stamp Set in Memento Tuxedo Black on white cardstock and colored her in with alcohol markers.

IMG_6701

Once I had finished coloring her, I used the matching dies to die cut her out. I then die cut a frame out of white cardstock and craft foam using a die from the Lacy Layers 2 Die set and then adhered the two together with liquid adhesive. I then stamped the sentiment in VersaFine Onyx Black ink and then adhered the frame to the card front with liquid adhesive. Lastly, I adhered the girl with foam tape.

Next up is the wonderful Make a Fish Stamp Set and Make a Fish Die also designed by Flora Waycott! This die is so beautiful! I love all the details on this die and the printable guide sheet makes it very easy to put together. And the Make a Fish Stamp Set is a perfect companion to the die set with its many fun complimentary sentiments. In fact, I loved these two so much I created two cards!!!

IMG_6915

First, I created by background by debossing or dry embossing with the Stitched Layers Die Set on the front of an A2 card base made from white cardstock. Then, using the dies as a guide for how large, I colored 5 sections of white cardstock with 5 different shades of alcohol markers and then die cut the sections with the coordinating dies.

IMG_6914

I then assembled the fish with liquid adhesive. Lastly, I stamped and white heat embossed a sentiment from the Make a Fish Stamp Set on a strip of black cardstock then attached it and the fish to the card front with foam tape.

IMG_6912

For this card, I simply die cut all the dies from the Make a Fish Die Set out of mirrored gold paper except for the eye, I used black cardstock for that. And the mirrored gold paper is actually from the 99 Cents Store, can you believe that! And it came in a pack so I have 5 other sheets of mirrored paper as well. They called it “poster board” even though it’s not as thick as typical poster board. Of course you can use whatever mirrored gold cardstock you may have to create this card.

IMG_6913

Once all the elements were die cut I simply glued them together with liquid adhesive. I then stamped a sentiment in VersaFine and then adhered the fish with some foam tape.

Last up is the Forever Stamp Set and the Mini 3D Bow Die.

IMG_6911

For this card, I simply stamped the flowers and leaves from the Forever Stamp Set in a ring to create a wreath in Distress Oxides (Picked Raspberry, Wild Honey, Candied Apple, Lucky Clover, Twisted Citron, & Cracked Pistachio) on an A2 top-folding white card base.

IMG_6910

Once I completed my wreath, I stamped the sentiment in the center in VersaFine Onyx Black Ink. To finish it off, I die cut a bow with the Mini 3D Bow Die and assembled it and then adhered it to the card front.
