Hello!! I’m here with a card to share for Papertrey Ink’s MIM Challenge #247 and for the CAS(E) this Sketch Challenge.
Melissa at PTI shared a really neat watercoloring technique in her video and I had to give it a try, and who could resist CAS(E)’s current sketch.
So here’s what I came up with.
I stamped and masked flowers and leaves from PTI’s In Bloom set on watercolored paper in versafine onyx black. I then blended red, violet, and green inks over my images. Then with a water brush, I brushed water over my blended areas to create a watercolored look. I then went in with more color to add detail and depth. After that I splattered black watercolor paint over the panel.
I then cut my panel into four sections and watercolored the cut edges where the image was cut (this really made the cut look clean and finished). Next, I mounted my sections on craft foam and then adhered them onto my black card base. After that I stamped my PTI sentiment and added some black enamel dots. I hope you enjoyed, thanks for stopping by!
